Looking for a creative space to bring your projects to life? Our Open Studio offers a welcoming environment where you can work independently using your own tools or explore our extensive collection! From sewing machines to printmaking tools, fabric cutters to iPads, there's something for everyone—come see for yourself!
Open Studios are held weekly, alternating between:
🖌 Sunday Afternoons (1–5 PM) or
🎨 Monday Evenings (7–9 PM)
Additionally:
When Open Studio falls on a Sunday, the Prairieland Art Group hosts an extended Tuesday session (9 AM–3 PM).

Work independently, among fellow artists! Open Studio is a creative, collaborative space. A host is available for support, but Open Studio is designed for self-guided artists.

🔹 Please note: The Clay Studio and Glass Studio are only accessible during Open Studio when a qualified host is present and you’ve demonstrated familiarity with the equipment.
What tools are available?
At the Moosomin Visual Arts Centre, you’ll have access to a wide variety of tools and equipment to bring your creative vision to life, including:
🎨 Art Supplies – Easels, paintbrushes, linocut carving tools, printmaking tools, paper quilling tools
✂️ Crafting & DIY – Cricut machine, fabric cutters, cutting mats, scrapbooking tools
🧵 Textile & Fiber Arts – Sewing machines, knitting machine, knitting needles, crochet hooks
🛠 Carving & Sculpting – Carving tools, linocut carving tools
📷 Technology & Photography – iPads, Mac computers, DSLR camera, tripod, Adobe Creative Suite
🍽 Fully Stocked Kitchen – Perfect for creative breaks and refreshments!
💡 Expand Your Skills! Borrow an iPad (or use your phone) to access Creative Bug and Domestika, where you can learn new techniques and explore fresh ideas.
No matter your medium, Open Studio is the perfect place to experiment, create, and grow your artistic skills!
